The role focuses on hands-on integration delivery using EIB, Studio, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, and Workday APIs, with strong attention to reliability, security, and data quality. The ideal candidate has shipped meaningful Workday integrations in production, navigates Workday’s tenant model and security framework with confidence, and writes well-structured Studio integrations that are easy to maintain. In this role you will work closely with cross-functional partners — product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders — to translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineered solutions, and will be expected to raise the bar through code review, design review, and mentorship of more junior engineers. The successful candidate brings strong engineering discipline, a clear communication style, and a track record of shipping meaningful work that holds up well in production. •Key Responsibilities •Design and develop Workday integrations using EIB, Workday Studio, Core Connectors, Cloud Connect, and PECI •Build inbound and outbound integrations connecting Workday with payroll, benefits, IT provisioning, finance, and analytics systems •Develop XSLT transformations within Workday Studio integrations, applying disciplined templating practices, reusable helper libraries, and careful test coverage to keep complex mappings maintainable •Implement integrations using Workday REST and SOAP web services where appropriate •Design error handling, retry, and notification strategies that ensure reliable integration operations •Develop and maintain integration system users, ISSGs, security configurations, and tenant-level setup for integrations •Build and maintain calculated fields, custom reports, and report-as-a-service integrations •Implement Workday business processes and condition rules that support integration logic, ensuring the upstream and downstream sides of each integration agree on routing, approvals, and state transitions •Participate actively in Workday tenant refresh planning and integration regression testing, ensuring critical integration paths are exercised in lower environments before each tenant move and any drift is caught early •Collaborate with HR, payroll, IT, and finance stakeholders to translate business needs into integration designs •Maintain comprehensive, current technical documentation — including architecture diagrams, design decisions, configuration references, runbooks, and operational procedures — so that the system remains supportable, auditable, and easy to onboard new engineers onto over time •Support production incidents related to integrations and driv Compensation: •$100,000–$180,000 Annually •Experience Required: •12+ years •Sponsorship: •U.S. Citizens, Green Card Holders, EAD Holders, and H-1B transfer candidates are encouraged to apply.
