Required Skills: •Overall achievement of the $2 million revenue goal for the Northern New England market. •Directly leading the development/fundraising campaigns and staff teams to achieve bold revenue targets through strategic campaign development and effective volunteer and staff management. •In partnership with the Executive Director and VP, Community Impact, responsible for supporting the Board priorities and serving as a resource and contact for Board volunteers. •Growing overall market revenue by implementing and setting Best Practices; driving new business recruitment and achieving campaign growth through the cultivation, stewardship, renewal, and acquisition of companies and donors. •Model the American Heart Association's leadership proficiencies and values in advancing the American Heart Association's mission and achievement of revenue and health impact goals. •Promote collaboration with development and health strategies staff around revenue and mission-related goals. •Seek out opportunities to more deeply engage event donors through Major Gifts opportunities. •Build powerful relationships with corporate and business leaders and senior-level volunteers. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. •At least three years of relevant experience, preferably in a development position in a similar non-profit organization. •At least one year of experience in employee management, preferably in development or fundraising staff. •Direct knowledge of special event fundraising tactics is preferred. •Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. •Must be willing to work outside standard hours in support of events, sponsors, and volunteers, including evenings and weekends as needed. •Demonstrated capacity to lift and/or move large objects (such as boxes) with the expectation that heavier items would be broken down into smaller components, or requesting additional assistance may be required before lifting and/or moving. •Be willing and able to travel daily to meetings and events throughout the market (Maine, Central Massachusetts, and New Hampshire), with occasional overnight travel.
