Hiring: Vice President of Pharmacy Company: HealthPartners Location: Bloomington, MN Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 11:50:46 About the job Required Skills: •Lead and oversee the supervision of pharmacy executive leadership team and their respective teams, including having the authority to hire, transfer, lay off, promote, discipline and discharge, train, reward and review performance of employees. Ensures compliance to organizational and departmental policies and procedures. •Oversee the development and oversight of Pharmacy plan service business goals and objectives including but not limited to: pharmacy revenue opportunities, enrollment, customer service goals and member satisfaction. •Review and lead the evaluation of vendors with new products and services that may enhance or support HealthPartners pharmacy capabilities. Successfully negotiate win-win agreements. •Work collaboratively with other senior leaders to improve the affordability of HealthPartners pharmacy products and services and identify business development opportunities that support health plan product development and bottom-line margin creation. •Evaluate and pursue new business and growth opportunities for pharmacy benefits administration, and designing innovative mail order pharmacy and retail pharmacy partnerships. •Provide assistance to Sales/Marketing in response to RFP’s, ensure they are knowledgeable on pharmacy, driving client engagement and participate in sales presentations and business reviews. •Represent HealthPartners as a thought leader in healthcare and actively engage with national pharmacy industry leaders and pharmacy associations for pharmacy operations and pharmacy health plan. •Develop and monitor strategic and operational plans or dashboards and oversee the creation of the budgets. Accountable for the P&L for the entire Pharmacy service line. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Pharmacy or education and experience of commensurate value. •Ten years of senior management experience including appropriate product marketing, financial management and business operations experience. •Requires extensive professional and technical knowledge of health plan operations and/or health care delivery systems. •Strong negotiating, problem solving and planning experience. •Proven experience in directing and motivating a staff of professionals. •Previous program development experience such as new service line development or joint ventures. •Knowledge of operations, marketing development, finance and risk assessment. •Skill in establishing and maintaining effective interpersonal relationships with all levels of leaders, employees, business, government and community officials and the general public. •Excellent oral and written communication skills, including excellent public speaking skills. •Demonstrated interest and passion for high quality, member satisfaction and patient-centered care.
