Location: Huntsville, AL Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 11:58:40 Employment Type: Contract Target Skills & Keywords : Change Management, Risk Management, SCA, Security Clearance About the job Experience: •12+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including 5+ years in a senior HR leadership role (VP, Director, or equivalent) Required Skills: •Develop and execute the organization's overall human resources strategy in alignment with business goals and government contract requirements •Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team on organizational design, workforce planning, corporate scaling, and talent strategy •Own the talent acquisition function, ensuring effective recruiting for cleared and specialized technical/engineering roles in a competitive labor market •Serve as the organization's principal owner of labor law compliance and HR risk management, proactively identifying, assessing, and mitigating employment-related legal and regulatory exposure across the company •Ensure compliance with federal employment regulations applicable to government contractors, including OFCCP affirmative action planning, EEO-1 reporting, DCAA labor accounting standards, DFARS workforce clauses, and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) obligations •Monitor and ensure compliance with state and local employment laws as the company expands into new states, including wage and hour, leave, paid sick leave, and other jurisdiction-specific requirements, and adapt HR policy accordingly •Oversee global mobility programs and compensation strategy for OCONUS (overseas) personnel, including relocation, allowances, and compliance with applicable host-country and U.S. tax/labor requirements •Own overall responsibility for the development, maintenance, and enforcement of HR policies and procedures across the organization Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field •Prior experience in the defense, aerospace, or government contracting industry •Demonstrated knowledge of federal contractor compliance requirements (OFCCP, EEO, DFARS/FAR labor provisions) •Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state employment law, with demonstrated experience managing compliance risk •Demonstrated experience scaling HR in a growing organization, building or significantly maturing HR processes, policies, systems, and controls during a period of substantial headcount growth •Proven experience building and leading HR teams and functions •Demonstrated success in leading through ambiguity and stress while balancing multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously •Track record of investing in the development of junior team members, creating a culture of growth and knowledge-sharing •Master's degree in HR, Business Administration (MBA), or Organizational Development Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
