Hiring: Vice President Investment Banking Company: talisman Location: New York, United States Job Posted Time: 2026-09-11 12:29:08 About the job Experience: •5-8 years of experience in investment banking or M&A advisory •8 years of experience in investment banking or M&A advisory Required Skills: •The team is seeking a Vice President (VP2) to play a key role in the execution and management of complex M&A transactions across the power, renewables, and infrastructure sectors. •The successful candidate will work closely with senior bankers and infrastructure-focused clients, while managing junior team members and leading transaction workstreams from inception through closing. •This role is focused on M&A advisory and strategic transactions and is not a project finance position. •· Lead execution workstreams across M&A and strategic advisory transactions •· Develop and oversee complex financial models, valuation analyses, and transaction materials •· Coordinate diligence processes and manage external advisors and counterparties •· Prepare client presentations, board materials, and transaction documentation •· Support senior bankers in client coverage and origination efforts Qualifications: •· Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier accredited university •· 5-8 years of experience in investment banking or M&A advisory •· Strong transaction execution experience with significant deal exposure (“reps”) •· Knowledge of conventional power generation and/or renewable energy highly desirable •· Strong financial modeling and valuation capabilities •· Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills •· Demonstrated ability to manage junior professionals and multiple concurrent workstreams •· Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment •The client is particularly interested in candidates from leading advisory groups and elite boutique investment banks operating in power, utilities & infrastructure.
