Hiring: Vertical Construction Project Estimator Company: Calista Brice LLC Location: Alaska, United States Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 12:05:04 Employment Type: Contract / Remote Target Skills & Keywords : Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Microsoft PowerPoint, Project Management, Risk Management About the job Experience: •0-2 years 15 days •3-5 years 23 days •6-9 years 27 days •10-14 years 30 days •15-19 years 33 days Required Skills: •As the Vertical Construction Project Estimator, you onsite in Alaska and will be responsible for identifying bidding opportunities, preparing detailed cost estimates, and managing preconstruction estimating activities for vertical construction and federal projects, including design/build opportunities. •Work closely with Project Managers to align cost models with project requirements, budget constraints, and logistical considerations, and provides estimating support during both preconstruction and the construction phase when needed. Qualifications: •Knowledge of vertical construction concepts, methods, and practices applicable to estimating, preconstruction and execution. •Strong knowledge of construction estimating methods, quantity takeoffs, labor/material analysis, and cost modeling techniques. •Knowledge of federal construction requirements and compliance. •Advanced ability to use Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and laptop-based applications; ability to maintain and utilize estimating software. •Demonstrated capacity to understand schedules, interpret project constraints, and collaborate with PMs during preconstruction and post-award phases. •Understanding of construction, architectural, and building industry standards, specifications, and procedures. •Demonstrated capacity to read, interpret, and apply contract documents, RFP packages, drawings, plans, and technical specifications for estimating purposes. •Knowledge of budgeting, cost estimating, revenue models, cost-to-completion concepts, and project financial forecasting. •Knowledge of procurement rules, vendor sourcing, subcontractor quote evaluation, and related regulatory requirements. •Strong analytical ability; able to evaluate data, compare alternatives, identify risks, and support strategic pricing decisions.
