Required Skills: •Follow standard manufacturing and operating procedures. Strong learning aptitude required 75% of the knowledge required must be learned on the job. •Perform pre-operative checks prior to and during pump down cycle. Use pre-pump and startup checklist. •Inspecting and preparing electrodes for melting •Welding stubs on to electrodes •Clean, paint and maintain crucibles and base plates. •Operating furnace controls and instrumentation •Cooling, unloading, identifying and weighing ingots. •Band saw cut stubs and electrodes. Qualifications: •High school diploma/GED or equivalent is required; Trade school or additional training preferred.
