Hiring: Utilities Maintenance Technician Company: Nestlé Purina North America Location: Batavia, OH Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 15:02:35 Target Skills & Keywords : Root Cause Analysis About the job Experience: •2+ years of experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical utilities systems and equipment in a manufacturing, industrial, military or related environment Required Skills: •This position will initially work Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4 p.m., and then transition into working 4, 10-hour days during training and orientation. Once 12 weeks of training and orientation are completed, the shift will transition to nights (6 p.m.-6 a.m.), operating on a 2-2-3 schedule format •(week one: two days on, two days off, three days on; week two: two days off, two days on, three days off). •Troubleshoot and optimize utilities systems and related mechanical and electrical equipment and components •Monitor, maintain and repair compressors, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, wastewater treatment, domestic water, hot water, refrigeration and fire systems •Execute preventative maintenance (PM) activities to proactively prevent failures and promote safe and efficient operations •Utilize diagrams and schematics, digital tools such as computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), mechanical and electrical tools, and diagnostic instruments to reduce unplanned stoppages through effective root cause analysis and corrective action •Partner cross-functionally with team members to maintain equipment and solve technical problems •Perform basic rigging, mechanical practices, pipefitting and welding skills in an industrial environment Qualifications: •High school diploma or GED equivalent •Possession of a current High Pressure Boiler Operator License or Stationary Engineer License from the state of Ohio •Must be willing to work 6:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m. on a 2-2-3 schedule •The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
