Required Skills: •Responsible for leading the development, integration, testing, and documentation of software for our Weapon System Integration (WSI) products. •This includes architecting and implementing new capabilities, tailoring reusable software components, and integrating software on both virtual machines and target hardware. •This position demands strong adherence to coding standards, engineering best practices, and disciplined configuration management. •The UAI Lead Engineer is accountable for delivering high‑quality, maintainable code while mentoring teammates and fostering continuous improvement across the WSI product line. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related STEM field (Master’s preferred). •Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance. •At least 5-8 years of related engineering experience in systems, software, or hardware engineering. •Strong analytical problem‑solving skills with demonstrated ability to lead complex technical efforts. •Expertise in embedded or mission‑system software development, integration, and test. •Proficiency in modern software development practices including CI/CD, automated testing, and configuration management. •Demonstrated capacity to translate mission objectives, operational constraints, and system-level requirements into actionable software requirements. •Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical decisions, trade-offs, and system behaviors to diverse stakeholders. •Operational familiarity with distributed systems, real-time architectures, or edge compute environments commonly used in DoD systems. •Demonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers and help set technical direction.
