Hiring: Toxicologist Company: CAMRIS Location: Atlanta, GA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 14:47:44 Employment Type: Contract Target Skills & Keywords : Quality Assurance About the job Required Skills: •Assess the metabolic pathway interactions of metals, solvents and vapors, radiation and radioactive materials, pesticides, and other organic contaminants. •Actively facilitate and support analysis of toxicological/environmental data associated with hazardous waste sites. •Evaluate toxicological/environmental data for quality assurance/quality control, completeness, and relevance. •Provide expertise to assess site-specific public health impacts of identified hazardous substances and to develop appropriate responses for health consultations requested by Federal, state and local agencies, and the public. •Provide technical assistance and appropriate recommendations regarding potential human health impacts resulting from exposure or potential exposure to hazardous substances. •Assist with the development of public and petition health assessments. •Attend technical assistance site visits and public meetings. Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree in toxicology, environmental health, public health, health sciences, or a related scientific field. •Desired experience working with CDC, federal agencies, or related public health entities. •Knowledge of toxicology, risk assessment, clinical toxicology, occupational toxicology, and risk communication principles. •Demonstrated capacity to assess potential human health impacts resulting from exposure to hazardous substances and provide appropriate technical recommendations. •The physical requirements, workplace hazards and conditions, and PPE and chemical requirements described here are representative of those that a candidate must meet to perform the essential functions of this job.
