Hiring: Toolmaker - 2nd Shift Company: Velosity Location: Forest Lake, MN Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 10:13:48 Employment Type: Contract / On-site About the job Experience: •5 years’ experience in a Tool shop Required Skills: •Build tool components at a high level of accuracy. •Tooling free from errors requiring unnecessary rework to repair or replace components. •Maintain tooling thru execution of repair and maintenance. Provide quick turnaround on repairs and service. •Perform preventative maintenance on all molds. •Build precision gages and fixtures to support other manufacturing areas and have an understanding of component and/or mold manufacturing and ability to make decisions on in processing tolerances. •Create documentation notes as needed for tools constructed. •Tool component construction and schedule attainment •Assist production and maintenance on tasks when needed. Qualifications: •High School Diploma/GED-General Studies. •2 year tech degree in tool and die or mold making •Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States. •Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and complete them within a timely manner (results oriented); Ability to make decisions with limited information. •The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. •This is a non-smoking, professional manufacturing shop with normal lighting and climate control. This position may require one to move throughout the shop and office and may be subject to airborne contaminants and chemical odors as would be customary in an injection molding/ Precision Machining shop. •The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position. •When in certain locations of the facility, eye and ear protection are required. Closed-toed/ Slip resistant shoes are also required in certain locations.
