Required Skills: •The primary purpose of this position is to apply engineering principles to drive process improvements in the manufacturing of medical devices to positively affect Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. Qualifications: •Adheres to Viant Core Beliefs and all safety and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements. •Collaborates with programmers, operators and suppliers to evaluate designs for manufacturability and cost reduction. •Create fixtures, tools, and gaging using precision machining principles involving both manual and CNC 3 axis mills, lathes, surface grinders, and Wire EDM machines in accordance to blueprints per both internal and customer requirements. •Support NPI production including identification of best practice manufacturing processes and inspection methods. •Review and disposition product based on quality standards. •Reviews, creates and revises CAD models. •Supports manufacturing engineers on projects and initiatives. •Assists in and investigates improvement opportunities. •Assists in training production workforce in proper setup and use of equipment as necessary. •Troubleshoot and maintain dies to include die life, clearance, NCP, and regular maintenance.
