Hiring: Tool Crib Technician Company: Viant Medical Location: Brimfield, MA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 14:23:04 Target Skills & Keywords : Kanban, Linear About the job Experience: •18 years of age •3 years shop experience preferred Required Skills: •Prepare all tooling per machine/ setup schedule for release to the floor shop personnel •Grind all tools for shop personnel as needed •Maintain and correct inventory locations on perishable tooling and shop supplies •Issue tooling and other supplies from the crib to shop personnel in an accurate and timely manner •Maintain accurate inventories of supplies and tooling (i.e oil, coolant, cleaning supplies, etc.) •Focus is on accuracy and minimizing inventory levels to the lowest level while still meeting the needs of the production floor •Order tooling as required; establish acceptable Kanban quantities •Lead and oversee MSC Vending Machine tooling, Min/Max management levels and technical issues. Qualifications: •Must be 18 years of age •Trade school or 3 years shop experience preferred •Able to use measuring equipment, including micrometers, comparator, Smart Scope, tooling presetter, profilometer, thread gages, pins, etalon, and digital linear gage •Able to use computer, especially inventory control system and shop ERP system •Able to use basic shop math •Able to read and understand blueprints •Able to follow instructions, both written and verbal •Able to communicate effectively, especially verbally •Comply with all safety regulations, wears appropriate safety equipment as required in each area of the facility Compensation: •Full Medical, Dental & Vision, 401(k), effective on your 1st day Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
