This role ensures all tooling supports safe, efficient, and repeatable manufacturing processes while maintaining tight tolerances and production uptime. •What will your typical day look like? •Design, fabricate, assemble, and repair a variety of production tooling including dies, jigs, gauges, and weld fixtures. •Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with tooling and fixtures to minimize downtime and improve reliability. •Support Manufacturing Engineering and Production teams with fixturing solutions that enhance product quality and throughput. •Read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, and engineering drawings to ensure tooling accuracy. Qualifications: •What do we want to know about you? •High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Technical associate’s degree. •Minimum of 5 years of work-related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience •Strong background in fixture design and welding applications. •Proficient with manual and CNC machining equipment. •Demonstrated capacity to read and interpret mechanical drawings. •Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis skills. •Strong communication and teamwork abilities. •The ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences. •This role requires strong, applied mathematical skills, primarily focusing on geometry, trigonometry, and algebra to design, build, and repair precision tools, jigs, and fixtures. Proficiency in handling decimal-to-fraction conversions and calculating, often to a tolerance of .0001 of an inch, is essential for this role.
