Required Skills: •Partner with engineering leads across the technical loop, mechanical loop, and electrical/power to ensure multi-generational system roadmaps reflect and deliver sustainable data center designs •Serve as an internal expert on sustainable data center designs, reflecting a strong understanding of current and future technologies to drive sustainability. •Develop sustainability standards for all system reference designs, including metrics for PUE, Water Usage Effectiveness (WUE), carbon footprint, and sound levels (dB). •Lead efforts for quantifying benefits around sustainable data centers and Trane Technologies system architecture reference designs. •Develop and manage system-level Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) in close partnership with our enterprise sustainable team. •Partner cross-functionally with product and engineering teams to drive a roadmap for improving the sustainability performance of our solutions. •Provide coaching, mentorship, and technical guidance to junior engineers and cross-functional team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing. •Engage with regulatory bodies and industry forums to represent Trane Technologies’ voice on data center sustainability. Qualifications: •Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. •Operational familiarity with environmental regulations and green building certifications.
