Required Skills: •You'll also be the connective tissue between security engineering and Cape's broader ~70-person engineering organization, managing speed-security tradeoffs that are becoming more complex as AI tools proliferate. The metrics you create will steer company-wide policy and prioritization, and your judgment will drive the company SBOM. •Define and communicate the security program's strategy, priorities, and progress to the broader business. •Shape how Cape brings new security tools into the fold, from vendor procurement through implementation, powering the stack that keeps our security org running. •Keep the security engineering team on track — manage priorities, maintain the backlog, and drive execution across detection & response, corporate security, and product security. •Serve as the technical go-between for security engineers and Cape's ~70 product engineers, translating security requirements and risk into terms product teams can act on, and vice versa. •Partner with security engineering leadership to plan roadmaps, run program rituals, and unblock cross-team dependencies. •Build trust and clear communication channels with engineering stakeholders across the company.
