Hiring: Technical Lead EMC Engineer Company: Garmin Location: Olathe, KS Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 11:19:34 Employment Type: Full-time Target Skills & Keywords : Microsoft Excel, PCB, Project Management, Regulatory Compliance About the job Experience: •9 years of relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience Required Skills: •Reviews new project proposals and provides guidance to resolve any issues •Demonstrates good knowledge of all Garmin products and their respective certification and testing requirements across multiple platforms •Creates and executes test programs to suit multiple certification programs •Regularly demonstrates creativity and ingenuity to develop reliable solutions to complex problems •Leads regulatory compliance test planning and ensures adherence to standards for new market projects or those involving modular certifications, new standards, or directives •Manages compliance testing for advanced, complex products, including multi-unit systems and multi-market projects requiring coordination with multiple engineering departments and regulatory bodies •Conducts regulatory research and development for complex projects with limited precedent •Contributes significantly to compliance reviews across various product lines Qualifications: •Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering or related field AND a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience •Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule) •Demonstrates proficiency using Microsoft Word & Excel •Demonstrated project management and/or project engineering experience •Must be detail-oriented and work proactively and effectively with minimal supervision •Demonstrated capacity to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment •Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills •Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others •Superior organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail and quality •Excellent time management skills and ability to generate and support pragmatic solutions that meet Garmin’s market launch requirements, while maintaining high quality standards Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
