Hiring: Technical Engineer - Busway Company: Vertiv Location: Anderson, SC Job Posted Time: 2026-09-03 11:10:16 Employment Type: Contract Target Skills & Keywords : AutoCAD, CAD, Microsoft Office, Product Data Management, Project Management, SolidWorks About the job Required Skills: •This position requires working knowledge of Vertiv's busbar product range and close collaboration with estimation, sales, offering, engineering, and project delivery teams to apply standard designs and type-tested products effectively. •This opportunity is suited for someone who wants to develop their technical expertise within a collaborative engineering team. The role involves working across Vertiv’s busbar line of business to support the use of standard designs, tools, and processes. •Partner cross-functionally with sales and project teams to understand customer requirements and assist in developing technical solutions aligned with standard, type-tested product offerings. •Actively facilitate and support preparation and review of technical drawing submissions from the mechanical engineering team prior to release. •Assist in the development and maintenance of standardized engineering documentation, including drawings and BOMs. •Participate in cross-functional problem-solving activities to support improvements in engineering and project performance. •Prepare design drawings and documentation in line with specifications for Busbar packages to support project delivery teams. •Support plant-to-plant product transfers and new product development initiatives as needed. Qualifications: •Knowledge of busway products (preferred) •PC working knowledge (MS Office, CAD, PDM systems, ERP systems) •Strong Technical and Mechanical aptitude •Strong communication skills to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization. •Display a proactive flexible approach to working within a team environment. •Advantage: BIM & 3D drawing packages (Solidworks & Revit) •Demonstrated capacity to self-manage, be self-motivated and deliver project milestones. •Bachelor’s degree (4-year) in an engineering-related field (minimum) •Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (preferred) •Basic experience with AutoCAD (preferred) Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
