Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting or a related field; equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will also be considered. •Relevant experience in public accounting, accounting consulting, or other complex accounting environments. •Strong technical accounting skills and experience in researching, interpreting and resolving complex accounting issues •Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and analytical skills, including ability to present to key stakeholders and collaborate with all areas of the organization. •Operational familiarity with accounting practices, regulations, and reporting requirements within the financial services industry. •Self-motivated with strong appetite for learning and ability to positively adapt to change. •CPA (active status, or progressing towards) •Securian Financial Group’s internal job title for this position is Financial Reporting Consultant.
