Required Skills: •Manage the end-to-end preparation, review, and filing of sales and use tax returns for numerous jurisdictions, ensuring complete and timely submissions. •Oversee environmental fee reporting related to tire sales, including reconciliations, filings, and process enhancements that improve reliability and efficiency. •Prepare recurring gross receipts tax filings, validate supporting data, and resolve discrepancies before submission deadlines. •Coordinate annual property tax reporting activities and monitor related payments to maintain compliance obligations. •Provide senior-level support for year-end information reporting, including the preparation and distribution of 1099 forms. •Research indirect tax matters, interpret changing regulations, and recommend compliant solutions for complex state and local tax questions. •Act as an internal advisor on exemption certificate requirements and customer qualification issues, reducing compliance risk through clear guidance. •Support tax technology and reporting improvements by assisting with Vertex configuration, testing, and analysis of system-generated tax data. •Mentor entry-level tax team members and collaborate with Finance, Customer Service, IT, and other business partners on tax-related projects and priorities. •At least 3 years of corporate tax experience, with strong exposure to indirect tax compliance responsibilities. •Solid understanding of state and local tax requirements within a multi-state operating environment. •Demonstrated ability to manage recurring deadlines, prioritize competing tasks, and maintain a high level of accuracy. •Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain tax matters clearly to different audiences. •Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word for data review, reporting, and documentation. •Proven ability to work independently, apply sound judgment, and take ownership of tax-related assignments and projects.
