Hiring: Systems Operations Specialist Company: Purpose Financial Location: Greenville, SC Job Posted Time: 2026-09-16 17:32:15 Employment Type: Full-time / Remote Target Skills & Keywords : CPT, Firmware, Linux, Perl, Quality Assurance, SQL, Shell About the job Experience: •2+ years of experience within the IT field or equivalent undergraduate education Required Skills: •By providing responsive, high-quality support for Field Operations and the Service Desk—ensuring hardware, software, and point-of-sale systems are configured, deployed, and running so our branches can serve customers without interruption •By understanding and enforcing all corporate policies including Purpose Financial's Code of Ethics and Information Security Policies—ensuring peripherals, systems, and environments meet compliance, security, and quality standards at every stage •By independently identifying, communicating, escalating, and resolving technical issues between Technical Operations and customers or consumers—acting with urgency and clarity when systems need attention •Lead with Vision by developing and maintaining operational documentation—standards, procedures, process diagrams, and support references—that elevate the maturity and reliability of the broader Tech Ops organization •By driving continual process improvement across production systems, deployments, and monitoring practices—always looking for ways to make operations better, faster, and more stable while reducing maintenance overhead •By operating as a collaborative, cross-functional team member—willing to cross-train, cross-support specialist roles, and build strong working relationships at all levels of the organization •Show Up to Coach Up by providing Tier 1/2 support as part of a rotating on-call schedule and supporting remote technicians with hardware installations, imaging, and POS certifications—ensuring your teammates and field staff are equipped to succeed •By staying current on emerging tools, technologies, security requirements, and best practices—continuously bringing new skills and efficiencies to the team and the broader organization Qualifications: •AA or AS in an IT-related field, or equivalent experience •Operating system experience across Windows, Linux, and Unix environments •General working knowledge of technical systems, quality standards, security concerns, production environments, and systems monitoring •Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain business relationships across all levels •Demonstrated capacity to understand and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and laws governing our industry and products •Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to design, build, monitor, and troubleshoot production processes, software, systems, and environments •Self-starter mentality with the ability to assume a high level of responsibility and operate with minimal supervision •Adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a dynamic, high-volume, fast-paced environment •Preference given to candidates from a technical background looking to strengthen and expand their expertise Compensation: •Competitive benefits and rewards package •Health/Life Benefits, HSA with Employer Seed, and 401(k) with Company Match Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
