Required Skills: •This position is responsible for providing system level support of multi-user operating systems, hardware and software tools, including installation, configuration, maintenance and support of these systems. •Work to support various systems. •Collect information to analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems. •Research, plan, install, configure, troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade operating system, hardware and software. •Interface directly with cross-functional departments to define requirements and objectives for new and existing applications. •Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity problems, including user access and component configuration. •Record and maintain hardware/software inventories, site and/or server licensing, and user access and security. •Install, configure, and upgrade desktop hardware and peripherals to include; network cards, printers, modems, mice and add-in boards. Qualifications: •Proven experience with Microsoft OS (including Server), Office, Lotus Notes, ERP, backup applications. •Knowledge of AD, DHCP, DNS, WSUS, Symantec End Point, TCP/IP, VOIP. •Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills •Good communication and customer service skills •Frequent periods are spent standing or sitting in the same location with some opportunity to move about; occasionally there may be a need to bend, twist, stoop, reach, climb ladders or lift materials (up to 50 pounds). •A Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and work experience. System technician must have 3 years working experience in IT or related area if no bachelor's degree. •Linux/Unix, .net, MSCE certification is a plus.
