Hiring: System Administrator Company: Lane Transit District (LTD) Location: Eugene, OR Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 14:20:25 Employment Type: Remote Target Skills & Keywords : Change Management, DNS, PowerShell About the job Experience: •This position requires demonstrated experience administering enterprise systems in a production environment, with the ability to independently perform operational system support, troubleshoot complex issues, and execute approved changes in accordance with established standards and procedures. •Four years of experience performing operational systems administration in a production environment, including server platforms, virtualization, storage, and backup and recovery systems. •Demonstrated experience administering and supporting core enterprise services including Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. •Operational familiarity with ITIL practices related to incident, problem, and change management. •Position Type and Expected Hours of Work Required Skills: •Monitor enterprise systems including servers, virtualization platforms, storage, backups, and core services. Respond to alerts and take corrective action to maintain system availability and performance. •Perform routine system administration tasks including patching, updates, maintenance, and verification of system health. •Investigate, diagnose, and resolve system issues affecting infrastructure, applications, or users. Triage highly complex or non-standard issues to the Senior Systems Engineer or vendors with clear documentation. •Serve as escalation resource for system related incidents, working with IT teams and vendors to drive issues to resolution. •Administer virtualization, storage, and backup and recovery platforms, including routine maintenance, capacity monitoring, and operational testing. •Support and administer core enterprise services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy and Hybrid services •Support identity integration and authentication workflows across on-premises and cloud systems, including Entra ID. •Administer and support Microsoft 365 services including Productivity and Collaboration, Identify and Access Management, Security and Compliance, Infrastructure and Management, and Backup and Data Protection Qualifications: •A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. •Industry certifications or formal training related to systems administration, virtualization, or cloud services, or demonstrated progress toward certification.
