Hiring: Support & Recovery Advocate Company: Kittitas Interactive Management Location: Yakima, WA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-11 12:56:47 Target Skills & Keywords : Program Management About the job Experience: •Minimum age of 18 years. •Current criminal background check cleared by DSHS before working alone unsupervised with the clients. •High school graduate or equivalent. •Demonstrated capacity to follow instructions, organize and set priorities, and the ability to work well with other staff and clients, exhibit job-related competency and ability to make independent judgments. •Intermediate experience supporting developmentally disabled adults. Required Skills: •Acknowledge and advocate for the needs, wants, and rights of clients with dignity and respect. •Teach useful emotional and behavioral regulation techniques. •Identify areas of change as outlined in their therapist’s Treatment Plan that clients on their caseload are working toward. •Partner cross-functionally with clients to achieve goals resulting in graduation from the CP Program by developing action plans based on their Treatment Plan and suggesting different actions when necessary. •Evaluate clients’ advancement toward goal actualization. •Partner cross-functionally with the client, therapist, and CP Program Manager to identify triggers that could lead to relapse. •Encourage continued and sustainable progress. •Coordinate goal setting and report progress with clients and management team. Qualifications: •Demonstrated capacity to encourage introspection, connection, and ambition (required) •Outstanding verbal communication skills (required) •Being able to motivate others. •Understanding of recovery best practices. •Being able to work with people from different backgrounds. •Being able to engage in critical thinking. •Mathematical Skills: Ability to do simple math such as addition, subtraction, multiplication. Know how to handle cash and keep a running balance of cash on hand. •Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve a wide range of practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete and complex variables; ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form; and ability to deal with multiple variables. •Computer Skills: Ability to operate related computer applications (i.e. word processing and spreadsheet applications), and business equipment including personal computer, copy machine, fax machine, and telephone. •Valid driver’s license or Washington State ID.
