Hiring: Supplier Quality Engineer w/Casting Forging Experience - Hiring for January 2027 Company: Komatsu Location: Peoria, IL Job Posted Time: 2026-09-11 11:31:25 Employment Type: On-site Target Skills & Keywords : Foundry, R About the job Required Skills: •Plan and conduct supplier audits to assure supplier processes and Quality systems are appropriate for Komatsu product and capable of consistently achieving desired quality levels at optimum costs. •Manage and administer the “Corrective Action System” to achieve the timely documented corrective action for product non-conformance. Report results and actions I.e. maintain meeting minutes, action plans, etcetera. •Analysis data and prioritize action plans for supplier improvement. •(Warranty Claims, Technical Service Information, Defect Notices, etcetera) •Monitor, develop, chart, report and present specific Quality Indices (weekly, monthly, quarterly and year) for internal and external use. •Monitor, develop, chart, report and present specific Supplier Quality improvement activities •(QC Circle, 6-Sigma, Komatsu Way, and etcetera). •Develop and issue detailed procedures to facilitate the ISO 9001 Quality Management System (to assure compliance and clear process understanding). Qualifications: •Determine type and degree of control necessary to assure conformance of the manufactured and purchased product shipped. Take the lead with appropriate supplier, KAC engineering, purchasing and sourcing resources to ensure non-conforming product is not used and the supplier’s quality processes are correct. •Degree: Bachelor's Degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering. •Certifications: Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Manager (CQM) from ASQ is preferred.
