Hiring: Supervisor/Rail Terminal Operations Company: Pacific Rail Services Location: Warren, OH Job Posted Time: 2026-09-17 12:53:35 About the job Required Skills: •Oversees the scheduling and coordinating of the automotive activities of the terminal. •Assures that personnel is meeting the performance levels of the productivity goals and maintaining acceptable service levels based on set company standards. •Prioritizes safety, productivity, and efficiency; has direct contact with customers for unloading the automobiles; designates availability of equipment to meet customer requirements and ensures the security of all operations within the confines of the intermodal yard. •Assists in the company’s safety policies by upholding a high level of standard for all employees. •Monitor the automotive freight is handled in such a manner that is cost-effective for the company while meeting the customer’s service standards. •Coordinates inventory and auto placement to insure accuracy and securement are established and maintained on all units. •Lead and oversee determining manpower levels, personnel schedules, and duties assigned. •Consistent daily contact is maintained with the Assistant Terminal Managers and Terminal Manager for informational purposes and recommendations to improve productivity and cost controls. Qualifications: •Advanced knowledge of the railroad industry from a vocational education institute, apprenticeship, on-the-job training, and/or similar supervisory work experience. •Demonstrated capacity to assist in conflict resolution and mediation between co-workers. •Proven managerial skills (preferred but not required) to include ability as a strong leader and positive motivator, successful with employee training, a good understanding of a Collective Bargaining Agreement, government regulations, and industry standards. •Medical benefits start after 60 days and the first of the month after that.
