Hiring: Superintendent, Project Engineer Company: Nutrien Location: Augusta, GA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-03 14:28:37 Target Skills & Keywords : Microsoft Office, Project Management, Quality Assurance, Risk Management About the job Experience: •10+ years in fertilizer, chemical, petrochemical, or other continuous process industries •7+ years managing capital projects Required Skills: •Directs the Project Engineers, Project Managers, and supporting technical staff in making the Plant more profitable by implementing capital projects from design to completion which improve, modify or replace equipment and facilities •Position involves management of outside engineering firms, contractors, etc. who are engaged in project activity •Lead and oversee oversight of project development, design, cost control, scheduling and execution •Lead and oversee compliance with NPK Projects stage gate process and interaction with corporate oversight groups •Identifies and facilitates implementation of production, reliability, efficiency and cost improvement opportunities •Performs and/or contributes to thorough process reviews, Hazard and Operability Studies (Hazops) and "What If' analyses on current operations as well as proposed changes to plant equipment, processes and systems via the plant Process Safety Management of Change (MOC) process •Performs, supports, and/or contributes to Root Cause Failure Analyses (RCFA's),incident investigations, site’s reliability programs, and Operational Risk Management •Generates and maintains site five year capital plan and annual capital budget through integration and prioritization of site project needs with involvement from process engineering superintendent, maintenance manager, general manager, operations, and Nutrien Technical Services. Qualifications: •Engineering degree with relevant engineering experience required •BS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferred; P.E. and/or PMP certification a plus •Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills •Knowledge of production systems, industry standards, and PSM compliance •Proficiency with planning tools and Microsoft Office Suite •Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across teams •Willingness to travel, support outages, and participate in on-call rotation as needed •Ready to make an impact with us?
