Required Skills: •The Human Resources Superintendent plays a key leadership role at Tamarack, partnering closely with site leaders and employees to build a strong, respectful, and high-performing workplace. This position is a site-based role, with regular presence and serves as the go-to HR leader for day-to-day people matters. •This role is hands-on, visible, and engaged while supporting leaders, listening to employees, and ensuring our people practices are aligned with our values. You’ll balance operational HR support with thoughtful leadership, helping shape the employee experience while keeping us compliant and moving forward. •Success in this role means balancing building for the future with managing the present, embedding our values of Safety, Respect, Integrity, Adaptability, and Achievement into both the systems we create and the work happening today. •Provide direction, guidance, and support to Supervisors and other direct reports for effective daily execution. •Promote teamwork, communication, and alignment across shifts and crews. •Coach Supervisors in leadership, planning, and performance management. •Recognize and reinforce desired behaviors and cultural standards. •Encourage innovation, ownership, and employee participation in problem-solving. Qualifications: •Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive Human Resources experience, with demonstrated leadership responsibility in an operational or industrial environment. •Prior experience in mining, manufacturing, construction, energy, or another heavy industrial setting is strongly preferred. •Proven experience leading employee relations in a complex, site-based workforce, including investigations, conflict resolution, and performance management. •Hands-on experience conducting and overseeing recruiting, onboarding, performance management, payroll, benefits administration, and HR compliance. •Strong working knowledge of employment and labor laws, HR best practices, and regulatory requirements. •Demonstrated ability to partner with front-line leaders and senior site leadership, providing practical, values-based guidance. •Demonstrated capacity to be highly visible and present in the operation, building trust and credibility across the sites. •Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience). •Professional HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) is preferred, but not required.
