Hiring: Substance Use Prevention Team Member Company: NorthKey Community Care Location: Covington, KY Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 10:59:56 Employment Type: Full-time About the job Required Skills: •Develops and implements community-based strategies, educational programs, and outreach to reduce risk behaviors or prevent incidents •(e.g., substance abuse, injury, suicide, drug use, etc.) •Technical Assistance and marketing services to encourage more widespread alcohol, tobacco, and other drug (ATOD) prevention messaging throughout the region. •Expert assistance to community coalitions and participation in KY-ASAP and other groups that are planning prevention strategies. •Deliver evidence-based prevention workshops, curriculums, and presentations to target groups, schools, or communities •Organize public awareness campaigns, information booths, and community events to promote safety and healthy behaviors. •Utilize the federal Center for Substance Abuse Prevention six major strategies (information prevention education, environmental strategies, alternatives, community-based process, and problem identification and referral) to design comprehensive programs aimed at specific target audiences. •Participation in statewide prevention initiatives. Statewide initiatives may be developed at any time during the fiscal year. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree is REQUIRED. •Prevention experience is preferred but not required. •Certified Prevention Professional credential required within three years of hire date. •Possess excellent public speaking, facilitation, and training skills. •Possess appropriate verbal, written, computer, and data-entry skills. •May 2026 graduates are encouraged to apply.
