Hiring: Structures Technician (Dragon) Company: SpaceX Location: Hawthorne, CA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 11:02:20 Target Skills & Keywords : Assembly About the job Experience: •Capable of visualizing a three-dimensional shape from a two-dimensional view and understanding symbols, flag notes, and general notes. •Demonstrated capacity to perform basic arithmetic calculations accurately (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, decimals and fractions). Required Skills: •Modification, repair, assembly, and installation of the rocket and spacecraft. •Use tooling holes, pilot holes, or by hand (as required), per drawing or tooling instructions. •Align parts and secure in place using clecos or tooling/hand clamps. •Check for good edge margins and alignment. •Shim and/or trim parts as required. •Select drill bits, reamers and/or countersinking tools for pilot and full size holes. •Locate, drill pilot holes using drill motor and proper size drill bit(s). •Drill, ream, countersink full size holes in parts/assemblies, in proper sequence and to correct size using drill motor. Qualifications: •High school diploma or equivalency certificate. •1+ years of mechanical/electrical assembly experience. •Must be willing to work all shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed. Approximate shift start times: 1st shift (5 AM); 2nd shift (3 PM). •Repetitive assembly operations, grasping, standing, lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position. •Able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted. •To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. •1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. •1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
