Click here for a complete list of benefits: STERIS Benefits Required Skills: •Provides on-site support for the reprocessing of surgical instruments and trays to contracted and ORC facilities in compliance with the Department of Health, TJC, DNV, OSHA, CDC, AAMI and AORN standards and the facilities’ goals and policies. •Uses developed skills and practical knowledge to perform scheduled and unscheduled tasks independently. Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM •Supports daily operations of all activities that relate to the reprocessing of reusable medical supplies and instrumentation including decontamination, cleaning, assembly, wrapping, sterilization, and storage processes aligned with IP professional standards and regulations. •Operates all mechanical machinery within the department such as, but not limited to, cart washers, instrument washers, steam sterilizers, low temp sterilizers, ultrasonic and drying cabinets within sterile processing. •Works independently and proficiently in all areas of sterile processing including decontamination, cleaning, assembly, wrapping, sterilization, and storage processes aligned with IP professional standards and regulations. •Reports broken and/or missing instrumentation and can anticipate replacement needs. •Uses established policies and procedures to complete work assignments. •Uses the implemented Track & Trace system established within the sterile processing department for all tasks and products processed. Qualifications: •A high school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a Sterile Processing/Surgical Technologist program preferred. •CRCST/ CSPDT, CST or CER/CFER, CST certification is required. Must also obtain CIS/CSIS, CHL/CSPM or STERIS Assessment certification within 12 months of hire. •Must maintain certification by completing 12 Continuing Education Credit Hours annually •Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.
