Hiring: State Prog Admin Sr; Metrologist Company: Minnesota Direct Care and Treatment Location: Burnsville, MN Job Posted Time: 2026-09-03 14:29:00 Employment Type: Full-time About the job Required Skills: •Through hands-on, on-the-job training and successful completion of NIST Office of Weights and Measures (OWM) courses, the selected candidate will develop proficiency in mass and volume calibration procedures and gain valuable experience in an accredited metrology laboratory. Qualifications: •A Bachelor's degree in Math, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Metrology or related field may substitute for one (1) year of experience. •An Advanced degree in Math, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Metrology or relate field may substitute for eighteen (18) months of experience. •Math skills sufficient to understand and participate in NIST OWM training, complete calibrations, complete statistical analysis, evaluate control charts, convert units, and apply tolerance tables. (to be verified with a test at first interview) •Demonstrated capacity to work effectively on a team. •Successful completion of NIST Office of Weights and Measures "Fundamentals of Metrology" course. •Successful completion of Advanced NIST Office of Weights & Measures courses. •Knowledge of NIST Handbook 105 series, NIST Handbook 143 series, ASTM E617, OIML R111, or Minnesota Statutes 239, Department of Commerce Rules 7601 and 7602 as they related to calibration and metrological traceability. •Knowledge of Placing in Service Programs. •Participation in any of the following organizations: NVLAP, ASTM, NCWM, or NCSLI national or regional associations.
