Required Skills: •Identifies opportunities and leads Zero Defect projects to reduce Cost of Poor Quality. •Collaborates with inspection and manufacturing to evaluate specific product conditions for compliance where determination of requirements is difficult or unclear. •Leads continuous improvement efforts and participates in improvement projects lead by others using trend analysis and RCCA tools. •Develop and maintain control plans within areas of responsibility. •Validates first article inspection execution and documentation within areas of responsibility. •Provides internal communication regarding acceptance testing issues. Interfaces with test, manufacturing, engineering, and customers as needed. •Mentors engineers within the Quality organization. •Completes risk assessments and validation plans for planned changes. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. •Understanding and practical application of quality tools including RCCA, control charts, control plans, and PFMEAs. •Working knowledge and understanding of AS9100/ISO 9001 quality systems. •Strong computer skills, including proficient use of MS Office Suite. •Good communication skills and the ability to interface across the organization to achieve effective results. •Six sigma green belt certification. •6 years of prior relevant experience.
