Hiring: Sr. Sales Engineer Company: Mimecast Location: California, United States Job Posted Time: 2026-09-12 00:09:21 Target Skills & Keywords : Move, SaaS, Salesforce About the job Required Skills: •Own the technical strategy for complex, multi-product enterprise opportunities, from discovery and proof of value through technical close. •Deliver executive-level presentations and demonstrations to IT, security, and business stakeholders. •Partner with Account Executives and Account Managers to build deal strategy, qualify opportunities, and align solutions to customer outcomes. •Lead and scope proof-of-value engagements tied to defined success criteria, including complex or strategic deployments. •Mentor and coach junior Sales Engineers on technical depth, deal strategy, and presentation skills. •Support RFP, RFI, and tender responses with accuracy and commercial awareness. •Enable channel and distribution partners through joint selling, technical enablement sessions, and partner-facing content. •Maintain timely and accurate opportunity and proof-of-value notes in Salesforce. Qualifications: •Extensive experience as a Sales Engineer or Solutions Engineer, operating autonomously across complex enterprise opportunities, ideally within a cybersecurity or SaaS vendor. •Demonstrated experience enabling and selling through channel and distribution partners. •Hands-on technical knowledge across data protection, insider risk, email security, and related domains. •Experience working with large or strategic enterprise accounts and navigating multi-stakeholder sales cycles. •Strong presentation, demonstration, and written communication skills, including the ability to engage executive audiences. •Awareness of the competitive security landscape and the ability to position solutions effectively against alternatives. •Proven ability to lead and close complex, multi-stakeholder proof-of-value engagements. •Operational familiarity with AI tools, such as Claude, to support day-to-day work. •Willingness to travel based on business needs, including partner enablement, customer and prospect meetings, and marketing events. •Cybersecurity is a community effort.
