They are always striving to push the envelope of what’s possible. •Own The Design: Lead the mechanical architecture, packaging, integration, and validation of core power electronics systems, including onboard chargers, DC-DC converters, and HV junction boxes. •Managing every aspect of design engineering from concept to production and beyond. •Develop system-level solutions that balance electrical performance, mechanical robustness, manufacturability, cost, serviceability, and customer experience. •Lead supplier technical reviews, DFMEA reviews, tooling reviews, validation alignment, and production launch activities. •Prototype & Test: Design, build, and test your prototypes •Define and support executing environmental, vibration, thermal shock, temperature cycling, ingress protection, durability, and mechanical qualification testing •Drive design changes based on test results and real-world feedback. Qualifications: •Ideally 3-6 years of relevant work experience but open to all levels of experience if paired with strong technical proficiency •Rock-solid Mechanical Engineering fundamentals and a flair for creative problem-solving •In-depth knowledge of high-voltage product design considerations, including insulation systems, creepage and clearance, grounding, shielding, and HV safety requirements. •Strong 3D CAD skills, proficient with CATIA or similar software •Strong knowledge of GD&T and Creepage & Clearance principles •Proven Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) experience across injection molded plastics, sheet metal, die castings, busbars, gaskets, adhesives, and PCBA-integrated assemblies. •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
