Hiring: Sr. Manager, Engines Structural Loads & Dynamic Environments Company: Blue Origin Location: Huntsville, AL Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 13:15:14 Target Skills & Keywords : Fortran, MATLAB, Python About the job Experience: •7+ years of experience in aerospace structural analysis and/or structural dynamics (including vibration/acoustics and/or correlation to test) for flight hardware. •3+ years of project and/or people management experience. •10+ years of experience in structural dynamics, vibration environments, acoustics, modal test/correlation, and coupled structural load development for aerospace/spaceflight systems. •5+ years of project and/or people management experience Required Skills: •As Senior Manager of Structural Loads and Dynamic Environments for Engines, you will lead a team of loads and dynamics analysts who support all engine programs at Blue - serving every vehicle customer that integrates and flies Blue Origin engines, including New Glenn, lunar missions, and others. •Your team is responsible for decomposing launch vehicle and payload environments, authoring engine loads databooks, deriving engine component levels from test data, developing system finite element models (FEM), support in-house and external component development, qualification, and flight acceptance testing, and support vehicle launch operations. •Be expected to provide technical leadership across the team’s scope while engaging technically in a selective, deep-dive manner when needed. •The team’s expertise spans structural loads, dynamic environments and component testing, acoustics, and modal testing - and you will help integrate these capabilities to generate trustworthy environments and requirements that programs can execute against. Qualifications: •B.S. degree in engineering (or equivalent technical discipline). •Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership across a range of structural/dynamic disciplines (e.g., launch vehicle coupled loads analysis, structural loads, dynamic environment definition, acoustics, and/or modal testing/correlation) and to make sound engineering judgments based on evidence. •Demonstrated ability to engage technically in reviews and discussions - able to “go deep” selectively as needed to resolve issues. •Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to align and lead across time zones and sites. •Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. •Operational familiarity with model-based verification and correlation workflows, including assumptions, boundary condition sensitivity, and evidence-based closure of correlation gaps. •Track record of building and scaling technical teams that support multiple customers/programs simultaneously.
