Let’s change the world. In this role the Sr Instrument Technician provides repair and calibration services to support Utilities / Facilities assets and systems. Many of the systems are business critical to Site Operations and must be accurately maintained for compliance and assurance of supply. •Maintains equipment to ensure uninterrupted service to Amgen •Performs regular scheduled maintenance / calibration on instruments which support or monitor utility systems (ex. Environmental monitoring, Pressure, Gas detection, Scales, Process equipment, etc.) •Provides emergency / unscheduled repairs of equipment and plant systems •Assists with projects by collaborating with system engineers to design, specify, and commission new systems or upgrades •Lead and oversee compliance with applicable policies and procedures •Applies engineering experience to ensure that instrumentation and controls systems used in assigned facilities are accurately specified, installed, programmed, and calibrated to perform design function •Performs periodic assessment of field device calibration frequencies, and addressing out of tolerance (OOT), accessing instrument performance for replacement / upgrade Qualifications: •High school diploma / GED and 2 years of Facilities experience •OR Associate degree and six months of Facilities experience •Associate’s degree in electronics technology •Knowledge of validated systems, applicable engineering standards and an ability to work with facility specific software applications is essential to the job function •Must manage activities to meet restrictive timelines •Demonstrated capacity to work within and promote a team environment •What You Can Expect Of Us •As we work to develop treatments that take care of others, we also work to care for your professional and personal growth and well-being.
