Required Skills: •Own and drive verification and validation strategy for power electronics products (on-board chargers, DC-DC converters, inverters, and related high voltage assemblies) from concept through production release. •Author, own, and drive DVP&Rs: derive test cases from system and component requirements, define acceptance criteria and sample sizes, negotiate scope and schedule with design and program teams, and drive plans to closure with documented evidence. •Architect system-level test setups and validation architectures, including HV/LV interfaces, load and mission profiles, thermal and environmental conditioning, fault-insertion, and end-to-end data acquisition strategy. •Review electrical and mechanical schematics and define test cell layouts and requirements for instrumentation, low voltage, and high voltage circuitry; specify equipment and drive lab capability build-out. •Define and oversee the design of test benches including jigs and fixtures, instrumentation, harnessing, and DAQ systems; establish measurement accuracy, uncertainty, and correlation requirements. •Lead root-cause analysis of complex system-level failures, drive corrective action with design and supplier teams, and independently drive R&D and design-improvement activities. •Establish test methods, procedures, and best practices; standardize automation, data pipelines, and reporting across the team. •Serve as the validation technical interface to design, systems, reliability, quality, manufacturing, and supplier teams; represent test results in design reviews and program gate reviews. Qualifications: •Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field. •Comprehensive expertise in power electronics fundamentals (switching topologies, magnetics, gate drive, control loops, EMI/EMC behavior, thermal design). •Demonstrated ownership of DVP&Rs and requirements-based validation programs through production launch. •Proven experience defining and standing up system-level test setups and lab capability from the ground up. •Extensive hands-on expertise with lab equipment (battery simulators, power supplies, E-loads, oscilloscopes, current probes, power analyzers, hi-pot testers, thermal/environmental chambers, DAQ systems). •Strong knowledge of automotive and industrial environmental reliability requirements (GMW, ISO, IEC standards) and their application to test plan development. •Expert-level high voltage safety knowledge and the ability to establish safe work practices for others. •Strong technical writing and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly to technical and executive audiences Compensation: •$144,000 - $198,000 / year •Competitive benefits and rewards package Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
