Required Skills: •NRG is seeking a Senior Director to join its Growth & Partnerships organization. •This role is ideal for an entrepreneurial, commercially minded energy leader who enjoys building new businesses and partnerships at the intersection of customer needs, power markets, technology, capital, and enterprise strategy. •Lead the development of a focused pipeline of enterprise growth opportunities grounded in customer or system needs, market timing, strategic fit, partner interest, and NRG’s differentiated capabilities. •Direct the creation and testing of growth theses by integrating customer insight, market intelligence, competitive activity, technology trends, regulatory developments, and internal expertise. •Own the development of business cases, financial and operating models, commercialization strategies, partnership structures, and investment recommendations for priority opportunities. •Establish the critical assumptions, value drivers, risks, dependencies, milestones, hurdle rates, and decision points required to advance opportunities with discipline. •Lead cross-functional teams spanning commercial, finance, regulatory, legal, operations, technology, development, strategy, and business-unit organizations. •Build trusted relationships with business-unit leaders and functional partners to identify shared priorities, mobilize expertise, and create clear pathways from enterprise incubation to scaled execution. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Energy Systems, Public Policy, or a related discipline. •MBA, master’s degree, or other advanced degree preferred but not required.
