Hiring: Specialized Testing - Separations Technologist Company: ExxonMobil Location: Spring, TX Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 14:52:20 Employment Type: Part-time Target Skills & Keywords : REST, Spring About the job Experience: •Expertise in Agilent GC systems with various detectors and Agilent data acquisition and processing software Required Skills: •Support research programs involving the molecular characterization of complex mixtures using primarily gas chromatography (GC) methods •Provide sample analysis including, but is not limited to, sediment and source rock extracts, crude oils, and refined products •Perform routine calibration, cleaning, and maintenance of instrumentation •Follow laboratory safety procedures, chemical hygiene plans and PPE requirements •Comply with quality management systems (e.g., ISO, GLP, internal QC standards) Qualifications: •B.S. or M.S. degree in chemistry, geochemistry, biochemistry, or related field with an emphasis on analytical separation •Hands-on experience operating GC systems with different detectors such as FID, TCD, MS, VUV, and chemiluminescence, including analyses, data processing and instrument maintenance •Attention to detail and the ability to follow proper lab procedures and uphold good housekeeping practices in lab •Willingness to be involved in research that is highly exploratory in nature and may support programs within division and affiliate organizations •Good communication skills for understanding and describing scientific observations, experimental plans and results, equipment and material design concepts •Demonstrated capacity to quickly learn new tasks and integrate them into workflows •Organized, punctual, and takes full responsibility for laboratory procedural compliance and safe laboratory operations including equipment maintenance, chemical and supply ordering, chemical inventory, safe handling and disposal of hazardous chemicals •Effective in a team working environment, enjoys challenges, and committed to lifelong learning •Strictly adhere to SOPs for different methods and workflows •Comfortable and confident in working with solvents and chemicals Compensation: •Flexible work environment (work from home / hybrid options) •Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
