This business produces cutting edge optical systems for many customers in both the commercial and military markets, as well as NASA. •Lead and execute manufacturing engineering activities for the assembly and integration of opto-electromechanical assemblies. •Develop scalable processes from technical documentation and create manufacturing procedures and routers. •Propose, develop and lead process improvement and cost reduction projects, apply lean liberally to the production cell. •Lead elements of the manufacturing process including optimization of manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts. •Lead design changes by coordinating with design engineering to address technical, operational, and obsolescence issues. •Interface with and direct technicians and other operations personnel, back up the operations manager when out on vacation. •Support capacity planning and lab space layout support for program changes. Qualifications: •Electrical or electro-mechanical engineering experience. •Demonstrated capacity to obtain a clearance.
