Team members work directly with leadership and operating teams and have the opportunity to solve real business problems rather than work within a narrow technical function. •Fenton Development Group is seeking a to help build and expand the technology platform used to support our family office, investments, real estate portfolio, and operating businesses. •This is a full-time, on-site position based in Troy, Michigan. •The Software Engineer will work closely with leadership to translate real operational and financial workflows into software. This role is well suited for someone who enjoys building systems from the ground up, solving ambiguous problems, and seeing their work used directly by the people running the business. •Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining internal software applications •Building and maintaining APIs, back-end services, and database-driven applications Qualifications: •Strong software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, application architecture, and software design principles •Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, C#, Java, or a similar language •Operational familiarity with Git and modern software development practices •Understanding of APIs, authentication, cloud infrastructure, and application security •Demonstrated capacity to troubleshoot technical problems independently •Demonstrated capacity to write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code •Strong communication skills and an ability to understand business requirements •Comfortable working in an environment where requirements may evolve as the product develops •Demonstrated capacity to work full-time on-site in Troy, Michigan Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
