Required Skills: •As a Software Engineer on the Tyler Wisconsin team, you will design, build, and maintain applications used every day by Wisconsin residents, businesses, and state agency staff. You will work across a portfolio that spans long-lived ASP.NET Framework applications and new development on modern .NET, owning features end to end. •This is a hybrid role which requires 3 days onsite, in office, per week. •Design and deliver complete features, from requirements through deployment. •Work full stack: database schema, through API, through user interface. •Maintain, enhance, and modernize existing ASP.NET Framework applications, including WCF services, and help migrate them onto modern .NET. •Debug and troubleshoot across the stack, including database and query performance. •Follow and champion best practices for security, testing, and API design. •Own testing strategy and code coverage for the areas you work in. Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent professional experience. •Proficiency in C# and .NET, across both .NET Framework and modern .NET. •Web development with ASP.NET MVC, Razor Pages, RESTful APIs, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap. Working knowledge of jQuery as it appears in existing applications. •Microsoft SQL Server, including schema design and query writing, plus Entity Framework 6 and EF Core. •Solid grounding in architecture principles, design patterns, and scalable system design. •Secure coding practices: authentication, role-based access control, n-tier architecture, encryption at rest and in transit, and input validation. •CI/CD pipelines, containerization with Docker, and intermediate Git and GitHub skills including branching strategies and collaborative workflows. •Practical experience with agentic AI coding tools and human-in-the-loop review patterns. •Clear written and verbal communication for documentation, code review, and cross-functional work. •Cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) Compensation: •Flexible work environment (work from home / hybrid options) Interested candidates, please apply directly through the job posting on company's career page or try via AI auto apply on this platform.
