Required Skills: •As a Software Engineer, you will help develop, test, and support software for miniature surgical robotic systems. You will complete defined assignments with guidance and learn medical device software development practices, contributing to software solutions that support safe and effective robot operation. •Support development of software for the Virtual Incision miniature surgical robotic systems. •Help define, document, and trace software requirements. •Design, implement, test, and maintain software components and applications. •Develop software for robotic control, data acquisition, user interfaces, and system integration. •Write unit tests, integration tests, and verification protocols. •Analyze software performance, troubleshoot issues, and document results. •Participate in software risk analysis, cybersecurity activities, and verification efforts. Qualifications: •B.S. in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. •Demonstrated programming and problem-solving skills. •Knowledge of software design, debugging, testing, and version control systems (Git preferred). •Operational familiarity with communication protocols including UDP/TCP, USB, RS-485, UART, SPI, and I²C. •Operational familiarity with software development, lifecycle processes and documentation. •Exposure to FDA quality system, IEC 62304, ISO 13485, cybersecurity standards, or software design controls. •Medical device or other regulated-industry experience.
