As a Software Engineer, you'll join an agile product development team building and sustaining applications that power large-scale compute clusters operating in highly available, mission-focused environments. This role spans the full software development lifecycle-from requirements analysis and design through deployment, operations, and continuous improvement-while working alongside experienced engineers solving complex technical challenges. •What You'll Do •As a Software Engineer, you will: •Design, develop, integrate, test, and maintain Java-based applications supporting large-scale distributed computing environments. •Participate in the full Agile software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, software design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operations. •Develop solutions that integrate and extend commercial (COTS) and government off-the-shelf (GOTS) technologies. •Perform code reviews, architecture reviews, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and root cause analysis. •Deploy and manage software using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and modern CI/CD practices. •Support software running within containerized and microservices-based architectures. •Monitor production systems, resolve operational issues, and participate in Tier III on-call support. •Mentor junior developers by providing technical guidance and participating in peer reviews. •Collaborate with engineers, system administrators, and mission stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.
