Hiring: Senior Vice President of Medical Services Company: Petaluma Health Center Location: Petaluma, CA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-10 11:05:44 Employment Type: Full-time Target Skills & Keywords : BLS, Care Coordination, Credentialing, Population Health Management, Regulatory Compliance About the job Experience: •Graduate from an accredited medical school required. •Graduate of a Business Education Program for Physician Executives or equivalent executive leadership education preferred. •Minimum of twenty (20) years of progressively responsible clinical practice experience, including significant experience providing patient care within a primary care, multi-specialty medical group, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), integrated delivery system, academic medical center, or similarly complex healthcare environment. •Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive physician leadership experience, including executive responsibility for medical services, strategic planning, organizational development, service line expansion, healthcare innovation, business development, or enterprise growth initiatives. •Minimum of seven (7) years of senior executive or physician leadership experience within a large multi-specialty medical practice, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), community health center, integrated health system, or similarly complex healthcare organization preferred. Required Skills: •Demonstrated senior executive leadership with the ability to establish organizational direction, lead through other senior and clinical leaders, and align medical services with the organization’s mission, strategic priorities, and long-term objectives. •Exceptional strategic thinking and healthcare business acumen, with the ability to anticipate industry trends, evaluate complex opportunities and risks, and translate organizational vision into actionable strategy. •Proven ability to lead and evolve complex medical services within a large, multi-specialty healthcare organization, including the ability to establish effective leadership structures, delegate accountability, and adapt organizational models as needs change. •In-depth knowledge of healthcare economics, financial sustainability, reimbursement methodologies, value-based care, population health, and the financial considerations associated with clinical growth and service-line development. •Comprehensive understanding of Federally Qualified Health Center operations, HRSA requirements, community health principles, healthcare regulation, and the unique needs of diverse and medically underserved populations. •In-depth knowledge of integrated healthcare delivery across Primary Care, Behavioral Health, Wellness, Specialty Care, Integrative Medicine, and other clinical service areas. •Demonstrated ability to identify and evaluate new clinical services, healthcare delivery models, strategic partnerships, affiliations, and organizational growth opportunities. •Proven ability to develop, mentor, and lead senior physicians, medical executives, and clinical leaders while building strong succession and leadership development pipelines. Qualifications: •High degree of emotional intelligence, integrity, professionalism, adaptability, and executive judgment. •Master’s degree in business administration (MBA), Healthcare Administration (MHA), Public Health (MPH), Health Policy, Healthcare Leadership, or a related field preferred.
