Hiring: Senior Systems Safety Engineer - Remote Company: DZYNE Technologies Location: Fairfax, VA Job Posted Time: 2026-09-03 14:17:30 Employment Type: Remote Target Skills & Keywords : Security Clearance, Systems Design About the job Experience: •8+years of relevant experience (Advanced degrees may substitute for years of relevant professional experience) Required Skills: •Prepare System Safety Engineering analysis and Generate documents in accordance with MIL-STD-882E and MIL-STD-2105 including PHAs, FHAs, SHAs/SSHAs, Bent Pin Analyses, Fault Tree Analyses, non-nuclear Munitions and Software System Safety Analyses. •Identify system safety issues, propose solutions and ensure appropriate action is taken to mitigate safety issues •Develop, review, update and approve System Safety Artifacts and System Safety Requirements in coordination with Military Services’ system safety review boards •Demonstrated ability to apply system safety engineering principles in accordance with MIL-STD-882 and analyses such as preliminary hazard analyses, function/system/subsystem hazard analyses, fault tree analyses, software system safety analyses and safety assessment reports •Demonstrated ability to apply MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-2105 •Demonstrated capacity to analyze, recommend, and drive safety into system design, equipment, and procedures to mitigate or eliminate hazards •Demonstrated capacity to develop, review, update and approve system safety artifacts and system safety requirements •Understanding of requirements development, system/software architecture, hardware/software design, software code implementation, test, verification, and validation Qualifications: •Bachelor’s degree in STEM discipline •Advanced degrees (Master’s of PhD) may substitute for years of relevant professional experience •Secret - Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance, as required for the role. •This position requires access to information and technology subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
