The scope encompasses technology in both computational and experimental tools and methodologies applicable to Commercial HVAC products. •Deliver and lead technical designs to meet project and product requirements. •Plan, conduct, and supervise work related to developing structural and structural dynamic simulation models. The scope includes prediction of structural modes, dynamic response, stress, strain, deformation, fatigue, etc. using finite element (FEA) and/or other methods. •Plan, conduct, and supervise various structural and structural dynamic tests, including but not limited to, structural modal analysis, steady state and transient vibration, rotating machinery, strength tests, component fatigue, data collection and analysis. •Correlating simulation or any other prediction models with test data to improve prediction accuracy and validate models. •Develop and improve standard work and design guidelines related to, but not limited to, structural design, simulation, testing, and similar work. •Work closely with product engineers to design reliable and durable products. •Work closely with test engineers and technicians. Responsibilities include understanding and prioritizing test requests, designing and proposing the appropriate test, discussing and supervising test implementations, assuring the validity of the data and its interpretation, and documenting the work in formal reports. Qualifications: •Bachelor's Degree in Applied Mechanics or Mechanical Engineering and at least 5-years of acoustics or NVH work experience is required.
