It's technical sales and strategy, not commissioned sales - you'll be judged on deal progression, roadmap impact, and customer trust, not quota. •Build go-to-market assets that clearly explain the unique capabilities of IonQ's integrated quantum networking, sensing, and compute systems •Partner with the sales team to move customers through the funnel, leading technical discussions that explore use-case fit •Work cross-functionally with engineering, R&D, and program management to represent customer needs accurately and ensure delivery aligns with what was promised •Channel customer and market feedback into technology roadmap planning, helping leadership prioritize what gets built next •Act as a trusted technical voice for both external stakeholders and internal teams Qualifications: •Strong grounding in the fundamentals of quantum physics - this can come from a PhD in the physical sciences or equivalent hands-on industry/technical experience. A dedicated quantum science background is not required. •Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to flex between deeply technical and executive-level audiences •Background in management consulting, venture capital, technical sales, or similar customer-facing technical roles •Comfort building financial models, ROI analyses, or business cases to support customer or internal decisions •Direct experience in quantum information science and technology •A track record of identifying and communicating market gaps and opportunities to leadership •Demonstrated capacity to synthesize varied customer feedback into a coherent point of view that shapes technology direction •The approximate base salary range for this position is $ 126,887 - $ 166,127 .
