Required Skills: •Perform software and firmware safety analysis across the system lifecycle. •Identify, assess, and document software safety hazards, risks, and mitigations. •Support system safety activities for missile systems, radars, UAVs, C2BMC, and embedded platforms. •Evaluate software compliance with safety, airworthiness, and program requirements. •Analyze requirements, design, code, test, and operational data for safety impacts. •Support development and maintenance of safety artifacts (hazard analyses, safety assessments, risk matrices). •Support verification and validation of software safety requirements and controls. •Participate in safety reviews, audits, and program technical reviews. Qualifications: •Master’s degree in computer science, a related field or equivalent experience. •10 or more years of applicable progressively complex systems design engineering experience, including integration of complex hardware/software systems. Experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. •Understanding of software development, lifecycles and system safety principles. •Demonstrated capacity to analyze complex technical systems and document safety findings. •Operational familiarity with safety and airworthiness standards such as MIL-STD-882, DO-178, ARP4754, or equivalent. •Strong analytical and risk-based thinking. •Attention to detail in safety-critical environments. •Clear technical writing and communication skills.
